Ready to propel you through gnarly terrain, the Tecton X 3 adds winglets to its carbon fiber plates for extra stability in just the right spots, and two layers of PEBA in the midsole—our lightest, most resilient compound. Redesigned lug shape and positioning on a Vibram® Megagrip with Litebase outsole provide better traction, while a dynamic vamp allows feet to splay as the miles fly by. Topping it off, a knit collar extends up from the tongue like a gaiter to mitigate trail debris, and a lightweight Matryx® textile upper makes this version more durable and trail-worthy than ever.

    The best shoes!

    I have a foot issue so need the carbon plate in my shoes so my feet stay relatively straight when walking. This if the best shoe I've ever had for this. These are SO comfortable, very stable and are cute. I'm obsessed.

    If You Loved the x2 you'll love the x3

    Same hybrid style grip (feel) since I typically run from the house to the trails and back. I overpronate and need to work on knee muscle alignment and these guys cushion and help on long runs so I am not so beat up mid-day for time with family and friends.     I plan to do some 50K - 50M trail races in this shoe and the 2 training runs I did in it, it performed beautifully! It's so lightweight, bouncy but not unstable, has amazing grip, and the gaiter was beneficial yet not noticeable. Leaps and bounds better and more comfortable/responsive than the Nike ...

    Absolutely amazing!!

    The shoe has great traction for trails. The gaiter works. No dirt , rocks etc. got into my socks. (The Speedgoats need built in gaiters) The carbon plate actually adds a bounce in your step , not too much just enough. The shoe overall adds an ease to the grind of trail running.

    Runs large overall and in heel

    Had to return… had such high hopes for this shoe and it was 80 percent good. If it actually fit me, maybe it would have been better but it felt loose and sloppy on anything other than smooth terrain.
